GhostBed vs Puffy: Which Is Better?
The previous version of this article called GhostBed categorically superior and described Puffy as “lower quality.” That claim was not adequately supported and is no longer how we recommend comparing mattresses. Both brands now offer multiple constructions, and the useful comparison is model versus model.

GhostBed Signature vs Puffy Cloud
This is the cleanest all-foam comparison. GhostBed's current Signature Foam is a 12-inch foam mattress positioned around cooling, contouring and motion isolation. Puffy Cloud is Puffy's current memory-foam model and is positioned around a cushioned, contouring feel.
If you are choosing between them, focus on how much contour you like, how quickly you want the surface to respond, temperature preference, edge feel and the purchase-policy terms from the seller you actually use. Do not assume that one foam recipe is automatically more durable or supportive because of the brand name.
GhostBed Hybrid vs Puffy Lux or Royal
Both brands currently offer hybrid directions for shoppers who want coils under comfort foams. GhostBed's Signature Hybrid and Luxe Hybrid add responsive coil support and reinforced edges. Puffy's Lux and Royal are the brand's current hybrid steps above the Cloud.
Hybrid shoppers should compare the exact model's cushioning depth, firmness, edge support, coil response and cooling package. “Hybrid” describes the broad construction category; it does not mean two mattresses will feel alike.
Which Is Better for Cooling?
Both brands market cooling features, but cooling should be compared at the model level. GhostBed currently emphasizes cooling throughout its Signature and especially Luxe families. Puffy also markets cooling foams and hybrid airflow across its current lineup. Room temperature, bedding, mattress protector and individual heat sensitivity can change the result, so neither brand can guarantee the same temperature experience for every sleeper.
Which Is Better for Motion Isolation?
All-foam mattresses are usually the first models to compare when minimizing partner movement is a priority, while hybrids add more responsiveness. GhostBed itself positions its all-foam models around stronger motion isolation and its hybrids around a balance of isolation and bounce. Puffy Cloud is the all-foam starting point on the Puffy side; Lux and Royal add coils.
Trial and Warranty: Read the Seller-Specific Terms
GhostBed
GhostBed currently advertises a 101-night direct mattress trial and 20- to 25-year limited warranties depending on model. Written exclusions, support requirements and purchase channel matter.
Puffy
Puffy's current return policy advertises a 365-night trial for qualifying newer direct purchases, with a minimum adjustment period and other conditions. Its mattress warranty is currently described as a limited lifetime warranty for qualifying original purchasers.
Does Texan Mattress Still Sell GhostBed or Puffy?
No active GhostBed or Puffy products are currently listed in the Texan Mattress Shopify catalog. We are preserving this comparison because it continues to rank for GhostBed-vs-Puffy research, but it should not be read as a claim that either brand is currently in stock.
If you are comparing these brands because you want a foam or hybrid mattress, current Texan Mattress alternatives include Tempur-Pedic for a more contouring foam direction and Helix or WinkBed for responsive hybrid choices.
GhostBed vs Puffy FAQs
Is GhostBed better than Puffy?
Not universally. GhostBed and Puffy both have current foam and hybrid options, but the construction, feel and purchase terms differ by model. Compare the exact mattresses you are considering rather than treating one brand as automatically superior.

Yes. Puffy currently lists the Cloud as its memory-foam mattress. Its Lux and Royal models are current hybrid options.
Does GhostBed make a hybrid mattress?
Yes. GhostBed currently offers hybrid versions within its Signature and Luxe families in addition to foam versions.
Which has the longer direct sleep trial?
Under the brands' current direct-purchase policies, Puffy advertises 365 nights for qualifying newer purchases, while GhostBed advertises 101 nights. Terms and eligibility apply, and retailer purchases can follow different policies.
Which has the longer warranty?
