TEMPUR-ProBreeze or TEMPUR-LuxeBreeze: which cooling tier is right?
Choose TEMPUR-ProBreeze when you want a dedicated cooling TEMPUR mattress without moving to the highest Breeze tier. Choose TEMPUR-LuxeBreeze when maximum cooling is the first priority and you value its deeper cooling materials, 13-inch profile and more elaborate Medium Hybrid coil system. Tempur-Pedic currently describes ProBreeze as feeling up to 5° cooler and LuxeBreeze up to 10° cooler, each compared with ProAdapt models in an eight-hour surface heat-index test.
Availability note: ProBreeze and LuxeBreeze are active in the Texan Mattress catalog. Exact Magnolia floor models can change. Call Larry at (832) 628-6375 before traveling to compare both exact cooling tiers.

What do the 5° and 10° claims mean?
These figures refer to average heat-index increase at the mattress surface compared with ProAdapt models over eight hours. They do not mean the bedroom temperature changes by five or ten degrees, and they do not guarantee that every sleeper will perceive the same difference.
Sheets, protector, room temperature, body heat and how deeply you sink all affect warmth. The practical question is whether LuxeBreeze’s added cooling feels meaningful enough to justify the upgrade for you.
How do the cooling systems differ?
ProBreeze cooling system
- Cool-to-the-touch SmartClimate cover.
- Pure Cool material designed to pull heat away.
- Ventilated Advanced Relief material for airflow and pressure relief.
- Medium and Medium Hybrid choices.
LuxeBreeze cooling system
- SmartClimate cover and heat-diffusing layer.
- Pure Cool Plus, Tempur-Pedic’s more advanced cooling material.
- A deeper ventilated Advanced Relief layer.
- Soft, Medium Hybrid and Firm choices.
Medium Hybrid vs. Medium Hybrid
Both hybrids combine adaptive TEMPUR materials with coils for more response and edge support than fully foam models. ProBreeze uses more than 1,000 individually wrapped coils. LuxeBreeze uses 1,300 double-stacked coils and Tempur-Pedic states that the LuxeBreeze Hybrid contains up to 33% more TEMPUR material than the ProBreeze Hybrid.
Use those differences as reasons to test—not as proof that one must feel better. Compare turning, edge stability, contouring and how the mattress responds when the adjustable base is elevated.
Who should pay for LuxeBreeze?
LuxeBreeze makes the strongest case for a genuinely hot sleeper who has already decided on the TEMPUR feel. ProBreeze is the more restrained first test when you want dedicated cooling but do not need Soft or Firm. If cooling is secondary, compare ProAdapt before paying for either Breeze tier.

Book a mattress fittingFrequently asked questions
Is LuxeBreeze twice as cool as ProBreeze?
No. The 5° and 10° figures are separate manufacturer test claims against ProAdapt models, not a promise that LuxeBreeze will feel exactly twice as cool to every sleeper.
What is the main difference between ProBreeze and LuxeBreeze?
LuxeBreeze adds the stronger cooling claim, deeper cooling materials, a 13-inch profile and Soft and Firm choices around the shared Medium Hybrid option.
Which is better for hot sleepers?
LuxeBreeze is the stronger first test when maximum cooling is the deciding priority. ProBreeze is a practical first test when you want dedicated cooling at the lower Breeze tier.
Which Breeze mattress is easier to move on?
Compare the Medium Hybrids. Both add coil response, while LuxeBreeze uses 1,300 double-stacked coils and ProBreeze uses more than 1,000 individually wrapped coils.
Can I try both Breeze models in Magnolia?
Both are active in the Texan Mattress catalog, but exact floor displays can change. Call 832-628-6375 before traveling to compare both models.
